Description of Voucher 3i
Voucher 3i is an economic incentive to finance innovative start-ups and micro-enterprises in the purchase of patenting consultancy services. This voucher can be used for purchasing consultancy services relating to checking the patentability of an invention (prior art search), drafting and filing an Italian patent application, as well as filing a foreign patent application claiming priority from a prior national patent application.
Voucher 3i is intended not only for Italian innovative start-ups and micro-enterprises, but also for innovative start-ups and micro-enterprises residing in any of the EU Member States or in any of the States that are contracting parties to the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement, on condition that they have a production site or branch in Italy.

How to proceed
Applications must be submitted through the website of Invitalia: Voucher 3I - Invitalia
To submit the voucher application it is necessary to fill in the application form along with a self declaration pursuant to Articles 46 and 47 of Presidential Decree No. 445/2000 and the consultancy agreement. The agreement will also have to be signed by the qualified patent attorney selected to provide the consultancy service.
